Biography
Cody earned an A.S. degree in History and Political Science, as well as B.S. degrees in Biology and Botany from Utah Valley University, and an M.S. degree in Space Studies (Planetary Science) from the University of North Dakota.
His research interests include, Astronomy education, photometry of potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids (PHA NEAs), variable stars, telescopes, astrobiology/life in the Universe, and the moons of the solar system.
As an instructor, Cody strives to impact his students by teaching in an engaged environment that promotes hands-on learning, expression of ideas, and student collaboration. He aims to teach his students how the material taught applies to the real-world and how it can be implemented in their everyday lives.
