Jodie Lopez

Biography

Jodie is a native Utahn. She graduated from Weber State College with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene, she received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Weber State University, and Master of Arts in Education/Adult Education and Training from University of Phoenix. She has worked in various private practices in the state Utah and has been a dental hygiene educator for over twenty-fives in various positions. She has been adjunct faculty, full-time faculty, program director, and Dean of Dental Hygiene. She has worked at Weber State University, Salt Lake Community College, Fortis College, and currently at UVU. Jodie loves the profession of dental hygiene and loves teaching to empower the future dental hygienist. She is a site visitor for Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA). She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and serves as a delegate for Salt Lake Component.
Jodie been married for over 30 years and has two incredible daughters. The eldest is in medical school at the University of Utah and the youngest is a nurse at Primary Children’s Hospital.
