Jerell Rosales is a narrative feature film and television writer/director. His feature-length television debut, HIGH SCHOOL LOVER, stars Paulina Singer, Lana Condor, François Arnaud and James Franco. The film was broadcast in the U.S. by Lifetime/A+E Networks, TF1 in France, and released on home video by Lionsgate. He’s a Humanitas Prize award-winning screenwriter and a directing fellow in Film Independent’s signature diverse artist development program, Project Involve. His latest, THE TERRORIST, garnered a Jury Award Honorable Mention at the Austin Film Festival. To date, Jerell’s films have been officially selected in 100+ film festivals worldwide, playing on screens at the Directors Guild of America, the Castro Theatre, the ArcLight Hollywood, and the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. Jerell recieved a Master of Fine Arts from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and is based out of Salt Lake City where he serves as an Assistant Professor in Digital Cinema Production at Utah Valley University. Jerell’s upcoming feature film projects are novel adaptations that explores the AAPI and LGBTQ+ experience.
