Biography

Over the past 9 years at UVU, R.J.’s role has grown from Coordinator, to Director, and now Senior Director of Community Education. He is a team builder whose leadership qualities stem largely from his experience as a collegiate athlete, specifically as a former Football player at Brigham Young University. Prior to his time at UVU, R.J. was an executive within the YMCA movement in Fort Worth, TX where he was able to serve thousands of community members through programs that promoted youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. In his current role, he helps to support the dual mission of the University by providing engaged learning experiences that inspire a culture of lifelong learning both on campus and in communities throughout UVU’s service region.
