Personal:
I love the focus on teaching at UVU and work hard to be sure my classes are about real-world topics that students can put into practice right away.

I believe in continuing education and get involved in local and national professional associations, including FPA and AFCPE. I am always in the process of reading 2-3 books at once (I can't seem to finish one before I pick up another one and start reading it)! Some current favorites are Darren Hardy The Compound Effect and James Clear Atomic Habits.

I am married to Traci Spotten and we have five children (Eliza, Abigail, Samuel, Emma, and Joshua).
