Biography

Kyle is a Professional in Residence in the Technology Management Department of the Smith College of Engineering and Technology at Utah Valley University. He has taught at UVU since 2016, bringing a wealth of experience in engineering management in the computer hardware and electronics Industry. His professional portfolio includes 18 years as an engineering manager at Hewlett-Packard (HP Inc), where he led engineering research and development programs for ink-jet printing technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Quality, and a Master of Science in Statistics from Brigham Young University.

Kyle is passionate about learning and is interested in all types of technology. His academic focus is on the management of engineering development programs combining diverse technologies to create successful product applications.

With extensive international business experience, Kyle respects and appreciates cultural differences. He hopes students will see the world through different cultural viewpoints that enrich us and give new perspectives.

Kyle and his wife, Kate, have children who are beginning their own families. He loves the title "grandpa" and spending time with grandchildren. He and Kate enjoy travel, the outdoors, biking, running/walking, gardening, and reading a good book. Before moving to Utah, they lived in Barcelona, Spain.
