Dr. Jason Sharp

Biography

Dr. Jason Sharp is a Professor of Information Systems and Technology. He received his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in Denton. Prior to entering academia he worked as a systems support specialist and custom database developer for small businesses. Dr. Sharp has been teaching for over 20 years. While he has taught many different courses, the majority of his teaching has been in the areas of programming, systems analysis and design, and database design and administration. His research appears in numerous peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and he has presented his research regularly at international, national, and regional conferences. During his career he has received numerous awards for teaching, research, service, and student success. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family, taking walks with his wife and granddaughter, reading, watching TV and movies, and traveling.
