Biography

I joined the Department of Biology at UVU in July 2003. Prior to this, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I completed my Ph.D. in biology with an emphasis on plant molecular biology/plant-microbe interactions. I also have a Master's degree in Ornamental Horticulture. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students to engage them in their learning. I am interested in research dealing with plant micropropagation of endangered species, fungal and bacterial biofilms, and other interesting biology questions.
