Rachael Hutchings

Biography

Rachael Hutchings, J.D., is the executive director of the Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute and a Professional in Residence in the Strategic Management and Operations Department in the Woodbury School of Business at UVU. She also serves as the director of the Office for Competitive Insight. Rachael teaches strategic AI in business, business strategy, strategic foresight in business, and doing business in the Middle East. She is a small business owner, doing business consulting, project development and management for companies such as KitchenAid and 7-Eleven Holdings in Japan.

While living in Tokyo, Japan, Rachael worked for the Japan Energy Law Institute, helping to research domestic and foreign legal issues related to nuclear energy. Prior to living in Japan she worked as a law clerk in the Chancery Court of Shelby County, TN. Rachael has published in the American Journal of Mediation ("Defining Good Faith Participation in Mediation"). She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphries School of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in French from Brigham Young University.
