Biography

Kayle Smith assumed the role of Interim Director for the Veteran Success Center in 2022 and transitioned into the Director role in 2023. He oversaw the name change to the Military-Affiliated Student Hub, and move of the center in June of 2024. He oversees all aspects of veteran and military-connected student affairs at UVU, where he is passionate in advocating for veteran and military connected rights and benefits.
Prior to joining the UVU team, Kayle served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the United States Army in 2019. He is dedicated to promoting personal improvement and providing students with resources to be successful in their educational journey.
Kayle enjoys reading, kayaking, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
