Biography
I am a career services professional trained in all aspects of career exploration and preparation. As a career counselor for the UVU Career & Internship Center, I get to help students with resume' reviews and mock interviews, as well as guide them through job search strategies and the career planning process.
I love presenting to groups on a variety of career topics. In addition to presentation opportunities here at UVU, my past experience as a work success coach for the Department of Workforce Services gave me the opportunity to facilitate career preparation workshops for clients looking to enter or re-enter the workforce.
I grew up in Afton (Star Valley), Wyoming...home of the World's Largest Elkhorn Arch. But my college ambitions brought me to Utah. I earned my B.S. degree in family science from Brigham Young University and my M.S. degree in school counseling from the University of Phoenix. I have been working at UVU now for 9 years.
During my off hours, I love working out, watching movies, binge watching my favorite shows, going on drives to explore new scenery, and of course...spending time with my sweet grandbabies. Fun fact: I also have a black belt in karate!
