Cathy has been a high school and college instructor, writer, filmmaker, and mother of three for over 20 years. For 10 years she worked professionally in the Salt Lake area in film production on different films and television series after she received her bachelor's in media arts and communication from BYU. She received her master's degree in educational leadership - College Student Affairs from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania in 2019. She and her family relocated to Utah in 2020 and love living in the West. Cathy recently celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary to her husband Zane. She is passionate about being an internship coordinator for three colleges at UVU and loves connecting students with resources and helping them in pursing their career interests.
Greg concluded his tenure with the Federal Bureau of Investigation on September 30,
2017. Following his retirement, he has engaged in professional pursuits as a Private
Investigator and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at Utah Valley University.
During his time as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of
Texas, he led the prosecution in over 50 criminal trials, encompassing violent crimes,
outlaw motorcycle gangs, money laundering, narcotics, and civil forfeiture cases in
federal court. Additionally, he handled appeals related to these cases in the 5th
Circuit Court of Appeals.
From 1998 to 2001, he held the position of Chief Division Counsel for the Oklahoma
City Field Office, and from 2005 to 2007, he served in the same capacity for the Salt
Lake City Field Office. In these roles, he represented the interests of the FBI across
a diverse range of matters and provided training and guidance in areas such as white-collar
crime and counterintelligence. He also led several major federal trial discovery review
teams.
From 1997 to 2017, Greg operated as the lead undercover agent in various investigations
involving narcotics, outlaw motorcycle gangs, violent crime, white-collar crime, and
child sex tourism, both in the United States and Southeast Asia. He was the Undercover
Coordinator for the Salt Lake City office of the FBI from 2007 until his retirement
in 2017.
Greg Petersen earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Utah Valley State
College in 2004. Subsequently, he obtained a master's degree in criminal justice from
Weber State University in 2005. For the past 17 years, he has served as a United States
Probation Officer in the District of Utah. Additionally, he has been an adjunct instructor
in criminal justice at UVU for the last 15 years. Greg is particularly passionate
about the two specialty court programs he manages at the Utah Federal District Court,
namely the HOPE Recovery Drug Court program and the Utah Alternative to Conviction
Track program.
He is married to his exceptional wife, Karen, who is a well-known food blogger. Together,
they have two children: their daughter is currently on a church mission in Kentucky,
while their son is a junior in high school. In his leisure time, Greg enjoys running
and spending time at his cabin near Yellowstone.
Here is a little bio about myself: I am married to Rexene Boulter, and we have five children and 14 grandchildren. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice & Sociology from Brigham Young University. I have a Master's Degree in Education & Counseling from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX. I am currently an Adjunct Professor and teach Drugs & Crime at Utah Valley University. I have taught as an Adjunct Professor at Montana State University and Rocky Mountain College, both in Billings, MT. I am currently a Background Investigator for the Department of Defense. My wife and I served a two-year volunteer security mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Central America. I worked as a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration for 25 years and was stationed in New York City, McAllen, TX, El Paso, TX, Guayaquil, Ecuador, Tacoma, WA, and Billings, MT.
Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, a Minor in Aerospace Studies and earned his commission through the BYU Air Force ROTC program as a Distinguished Graduate. He attended the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program at Sheppard AFB, Texas, where he graduated #1 in his pilot training class. He spent the next 25 years flying the F-15 Eagle and The T-38 Talon as an instructor pilot and living in Texas, Florida, Okinawa, Japan, Idaho, South Korea, Italy and Virginia. He retired from the Air Force in 2017 and has been a Career Counselor for over 6 years at Utah Valley University.
