Our mission at Now I Can is to help children with disabilities reach their full potential and greatest independence.

Therapy Aide Intern Description:
Therapy aides at Now I Can are primarily responsible for assisting therapists in the treatment of patients. Now I Can offers intensive physical therapy to children who have disabilities. Children reach greater independence at Now I Can as they learn to sit, stand, and walk. Aides receive hands on experience in a clinical setting as they help during stretches and exercises of the children. They are also responsible for helping the child enjoy therapy to the best extent possible.

This includes:
Telling stories, playing with toys, singing songs, reading books, all while not distracting from therapy. Aides also help in patient safety by disinfecting exercise mats, toys, and therapy equipment when therapy is finished.

Duties:

  • Assist Physical Therapist during therapy
  • Hold arms and legs while therapist stretches opposite limb
  • Assist therapist in applying suit therapy
  • Assist with setting up and taking down equipment
  • Entertain children during therapy: read books, tell stories, sing songs, play with toys
  • Disinfect exercise mats, therapy equipment, and toys
  • Occasional assistance in fundraising events
  • Assist in documenting patient progress through pictures and video

Qualifications:

  • Love of children
  • Experience working with children
  • Patience with crying
  • Interest in physical therapy or medicine
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy & physiology helpful (not necessary)
  • Time Commitment: 2-20 hrs per week possible. Consistent schedule preferred

Equipment Assistant Manager and Watersports Crew Member

We are a local Watersports outfitting and rental company with service throughout the state of Utah looking for someone looking to work and train with one of the leaders in our industry in the intermountain area. Intern would be work with clients directly sending rentals in and out ( High end wakeboard boats and Sea Doo's etc.) they would coordinate the maintenance and prep of equipment for scheduled bookings and work hand in hand with top management and receive experience in the day-to-day management and operations of the Business. Passion for the outdoors, water sports and boating a plus.

  • Experience pulling large equipment and trailers a huge plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organization skills a must
  • Mechanical skills a plus, knowledge how to operate boats and PWC's
  • Crew member for Watersports Charter's and Wakeboard/Surf instruction

Our organization is Utah Valley Tennis. They can learn more about our programs we run at utahvalleytennis.org . We started 3 years ago and have grown to the largest private tennis organization in Utah. We are looking for tennis players and tennis enthusiasts to work as either head coaches or assistant coaches for our youth tennis programs. Head coaches are responsible for running practices and matches for their team. Assistant coaches assist in those duties. Head coaches make up to $20 per hour. Students who need volunteer hours can be accommodated as well. No previous coaching experience is required, and we'll train the coaches with everything they'll need. Regardless of what your schedule is we can likely find a program or team that will fit your schedule. Also, coaches can work with multiple teams, or a single team depending on how many hours they would like to work, anywhere between 3-5 hours per week, or up to 15-20 hours per week.
