About the Program

The skills learning in this program will prepare graduates for an exciting career in a constantly advancing field with an abundance of possible growth and personal development. Our curriculum is a Master Automotive Service Technician (MAST) program nationally certified through the National Automotive Teacher Education Foundation (NATEF). Upon completion, a student should be able to complete several Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications, which will provide various opportunities for employment in the transportation and automotive technology fields.

A.A.S. in Automotive Technology

64 Credits to Graduate

The A.A.S. provides a comprehensive education on steering/suspension systems, alignment diagnosis and repair, computer data retrieval, computer updates and programming, electrical diagnosis, automotive propulsion and guidance systems, autonomous vehicle data systems, hybrid and electric vehicle systems, autonomous cruise, and braking control.

60 Credits to Graduate

Our program uses the latest vehicle technologies and the most up-to-date equipment to provide students with a quality education. Students will be able to demonstrate and discuss what effect wide-band O2 sensors have on vehicle emissions and drivability, and how PCM input and output is interpreted.

Five options are available in automotive technology: a one-year certificate, a two-year diploma, an A.A.S degree, an A.S. degree, and the B.S. in Technology Management.

31 Credits to Graduate

Students will be able to diagnose and repair several electronic systems and mechanical components in automotive vehicles, including brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, engine, and fuel.
