Eminent constitutional scholar Harvey Mansfield spoke on the topic of “The American Presidency” as a guest lecturer at the invitation of Dr. Verlan Lewis, Stirling Professor of Constitutional Studies at Utah Valley University.
Dr. Mansfield is the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor Emeritus of Government at Harvard University, where he taught from 1962 to 2023.
A political philosopher, Professor Mansfield is known for his writings on Machiavelli, Tocqueville, liberalism, political parties, executive power, and the American constitutional tradition. His scholarship has influenced multiple generations of scholars in history, politics, and law.
