Senior Citizens

As an Utah resident who is over the age of 62, you can take low-cost courses at UVU. Participants pay only $20 per semester plus any specific class fees. Interested? Find out how to get started below!

1. Get Admitted to UVU

First you need to be admitted to UVU. This process is simple and fast. Complete the application form by using the link to apply online. Paper applications are also available. Submit your application:

  • By email: [email protected]
  • By mail: Utah Valley University Office of Admissions, MS 106 800 W University Parkway Orem, UT 84058-6703
  • In person in WB 128

Once your application has been processed, you will receive an acceptance email with next steps.

2. Register for Classes

Once admitted, review the UVU Course Catalog to see what is offered, and complete the online audit registration form below. You can also choose to do the paper audit form. However, you will be responsible for getting signed approval from the course instructor(s). Return the form to the Registrar’s Office via email ([email protected]) or in person in BA 113.

3. Pay for Your Classes

Participants pay $20 per semester and class fees, not standard tuition and fees. Log in below or go to the Cashier's Office (BA 109) to pay.

Additional Information

Courses are taken as an audit with no university credit awarded. Students desiring credit must follow regular admissions and registration procedures and pay full tuition and fees. At no point in the future can an audited course be converted to a credit course. Participants should be qualified for the courses they wish to take (where specific qualifications exist). The course instructor has the sole authority to make this decision. Space must be available in the course. Students cannot be enrolled in courses for credit and senior audit courses during the same semester. All university policies and regulations must be followed.
