Standard meeting patterns are critical to student schedules and space utilization.  Academic departments must schedule according to these standards unless a meeting pattern exception has been approved by the Academic Scheduling Committee.

1 - Full
15 weeks
  • Requires 50 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 50-minute block on any day.
  • Follow the standard start time of a 3-contact hour meeting pattern.

Block

7 1/2 weeks
  • Requires 100 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 50-minute block each day (MW or TR).
  • Follow the standard start time of a 3-contact hour meeting pattern.

1 - Full
15 weeks
  • Requires 100 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 50-minute block each day (MW or TR).
  • Follow the standard start time of a 3-contact hour meeting pattern.

Block

7 1/2 weeks
  • Requires 200 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 50-minute block each day (MTWR), or
    • One 100-minute block each day (MW or TR), or
    • One 75-minute block each day (MW beginning at 1:00pm) plusone 50-minute block (F), or
    • One 75-minute block each day (TR) plusone 50-minute block (F).
  • Follow the standard start time of a 4-contact hour meeting pattern.

1 - Full
15 weeks
  • Requires 150 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 50-minute block each day (MWF), or
    • One 75-minute block each day (MW beginning at 1:00pm), or
    • One 75-minute block each day (TR).
  • Follow the standard start times shown in the graphic.

  • Requires 300 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 100-minute block each day (MWF), or
    • One 150-minute block each day (MW), or
    • One 150-minute block each day (TR).

  • Requires 200 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 50-minute block each day (MTWR), or
    • One 75-minute block each day (MW beginning at 1:00pm) plusone 50-minute block (F), or
    • One 75-minute block each day (TR) plus one 50-minute block (F), or
    • One 100-minute block each day (MW).
  • Follow the standard start times shown in the graphic.

  • Requires 400 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 140-minute block each day (MWF), or
    • One 100-minute block each day (MTWR).

  • Schedule one 50-minute block each day (MTWRF), or
    • One 100-minute block each day (MW) plus one 50-minute block (F), or
    • One 125-minute block each day (MW beginning at 4:00pm), or
    • One 125-minute block each day (TR).
  • Follow the standard start times shown in the graphic.

  • Requires 500 minutes per week.
  • Schedule one 170-minute block each day (MWF), or
    • One 140-minute block each day (MTWR).
