What is Educational Talent Search?

Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded college prep program that assists 7th - 12th grade students who are low-income and/or who will be the first to graduate from college.

The ETS program promotes and encourages students to graduate from high school and enroll in and graduate from college.

Academic, career, and financial counseling is offered to participants. The program assists with the college application and financial aid processes.

How do I qualify for Educational Talent Search?

  • Be a 7th – 12th grade student
  • Demonstrate academic potential
  • Desire to further your education
  • Be a potential first-generation college graduate (first person in your family to earn a bachelor’s degree in the U.S.)
  • Meet federal qualifying conditions for low-income status
  • Attend a target middle or high school in Heber, Orem, Provo, or Roosevelt
  • Commit to attend monthly meetings with a TRIO Academic Advisor
