2020-2021 Graduation Ceremonies

We celebrate our students' hard work and dedication to success with our graduation ceremonies that are held once a year at the end of the Spring term. The Spring 2021 commencement and convocations will be held May 7.  Graduates, family, and friends unable to attend in person are invited to watch commencement as it is live streamed from campus.

 

Attention (Graduates Must Register)

Graduates must register to participate in UVU's Graduation Ceremonies. Ceremony registration is now closed until Spring 2022. If you are a Spring 2021 graduate please reach out to the graduation office for Spring 2021 ceremony registration questions.

When registration opens next Spring participants must, register as a member of uvualumni.org, then fill out the ceremony registration form to let us know which ceremonies you will be walking in.  We will reserve your spot, let your college/school know you will be attending (if applicable), and add you to the email list for future ceremony details. 

 

Public Ceremony Information

Commencement
May 7, 2021

  • All UVU graduates participate together in this ceremony. This ceremony will be held with a pre-show starting at 7:30 pm in the L4, L6, and L8 parking lots.
  • President Astrid S. Tuminez, keynote speaker Dr. Wendy Watson Nelson, and others will address the graduates and audience.
  • During this ceremony, all the graduates will stand as a group and then be congratulated and instructed to move their tassels from the right to the left side of their caps.
  • To follow safety guidelines for COVID-19, this year's ceremonies will be a fun drive-thru experience.
  • Graduates and guests will enjoy the festivities from the comfort of their vehicles — decorated to show Wolverine spirit. One vehicle per grad will be permitted. (no limos, boats, etc. please).

 

Convocations
May 7, 2021

  • Each participating students/graduates will be recognized in this ceremony.
  • Each graduate's name will be announced as the graduate walks across the green carpet to receive a diploma cover.
  • To follow safety guidelines for COVID-19, this year's ceremonies will be a fun drive-thru experience.
  • Follow the links bellow to see what time and where your school/college will hold their convocation.
  • Graduates and guests will enjoy the festivities from the comfort of their vehicles — decorated to show Wolverine spirit. One vehicle per graduate will be permitted. (no limos, boats, etc. please).

Additional Ceremony Information

Parking on Campus

Guests and graduates will be able to park in any legal parking space on campus for free on the day of Commencement and the day of Convocation. Any cars parked illegally will be ticketed.

There will be security checks at the Commencement Ceremony so we urge guests to plan for a little extra time to make it through these checkpoints.
