Kazem Sohraby served as department head and faculty of Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Telecommunications Management. He also served as associate dean of the College of Engineering and Technology. He has published two textbooks, over 300 journal and conference articles, 22 patents and patent applications. He supervised and co-supervised 12 PhD, 60 MS and over 300 undergraduate students. He received numerous recognitions in engineering and technology, and several best paper awards. Throughout his career, he served as PI, CO-PI and consultant for over $15M in grants and research projects from industry and government agencies, including NSF, ARL, AT&T Research, eBay, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and IBM Research. He was inducted as Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in 2022 for his inventions and innovative projects that resulted in significant prosperity and economic growth.
