Biography

After over 25 years of progressive, organizational leadership experience, Rod Lacey joined the WSB human resource management program from 2017 - 2020, rejoining UVU in 2024.

Rod's roles in his organizations have had human resource titles, but his scope has been much broader, with most of the past 18 years being spent on executive teams of growing, global organizations.

Rod launched two companies after leaving the corporate world. Sunstone HR is Rod's consulting business, providing HR leadership and insights to organizations around the world. Rod also launched a confidential, third-party whistleblower organization, My Silent Whistle to aid organizations with SOX compliance.

Rod has a bachelor's degree in human resources and labor relations from Idaho State University. He also earned an MBA with an emphasis in marketing communications from Idaho State University. More recently, Rod completed the Advanced Human Resource Executive program offered by the HR thought leaders at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
