Memo from Provost Wayne Vaught

Fall 2020

Effective use of final exam preparation days enables students to solidify their learning. Classes will not be held. Faculty should encourage students to use this day to prepare for exams, complete assignments, or work or upcoming assignments.

Starting Fall 2019, final exam preparation days will be scheduled the Friday before finals during Fall and Spring semesters. Friday, December 11, 2020 and Thursday, April 29, 2021 are the scheduled reading days for the 2020-21 Academic Calendar. Again, the purpose of these reading days is to reinforce the learning of the entire semester and give students time to prepare for final examinations.

All academic calendars are approved by the Academic Affairs Council and the President’s Council.
