The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) mission is to challenge all committed students to grow and develop into accounting professionals who will become leaders within the business community. The MAcc qualifies students to sit for the Uniform CPA Examinations in Utah and many other states, which is a necessary step in becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It also provides a base to pursue related certifications as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Ultimately, a MAcc can lead to a wide variety of significant leadership positions in accounting and business including controller, CFO, and CEO.
Applications for Fall semester open November 1. Application deadline is April 1 or until program is full. (First Review of Applicants for each Fall semester is February 1, which is also the priority deadline.)

At the discretion of the MAcc admission committee the TOEFL requirements may be waived for students supplying sufficient evidence of preparation for the MAcc program. Admission to the MAcc program is competitive. Meeting the minimum requirements above does not guarantee admission.
The GMAT is no longer required for admission to our program.
Students with non-accounting undergraduate bachelor degrees are also eligible to complete the prerequisites and apply for the program. Applications for these students will only be reviewed when at least three prerequisite classes are completed.
Students with undergraduate bachelor degrees in accounting must complete the following UVU prerequisite courses or equivalent before they begin the program:
