The Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management (MS-ETM) is an applied graduate program focused on preparing engineering and technical professionals to become leaders in the management of technology in their fields.
Participants learn decision-making, evaluation, and implementation strategies for fast-moving, technical management decisions that prepare them for both career and business success.
Graduate students in the MS-ETM program complete a graduate project rather than a theoretical or research-based thesis often associated with a Master of Science. While theory and research are always a part of a graduate degree, UVU’s MS-ETM program focuses on real-world applications ahead of theory.
The MS-ETM program is designed for working professionals. Students attend courses part time to complete 30 hours of online coursework over 5 semesters. The program consists of 24 hours of core courses and from 6 to 12 hours of elective courses chosen by the student.
Anyone wishing to apply for the MS-ETM program must have a bachelor’s degree from
an accredited college or university, an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
on a 4.0 scale with official
transcripts, submit 3 professional letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Admissions
are competitive. Prior work experience preferred.
