Faculty Senate Deadlines

  • February 7 - Final date for faculty to submit their Annual Review to their supervisor
  • March 15 - Final date for faculty to request change to tenure clock
  • April 1 - Final date Candidate submits Sabbatical Leave Request to Department Chair for the following Spring Semester
  • September 15 – Final date Candidate submits faculty portfolio to the RTP Chair for Faculty Tenure or Mid-term Review
  • December 15 – Final date Candidate submits faculty portfolio to the RTP Chair for Rank Advancement

About the Senate

The Faculty Senate serves as the official voice of the faculty and an advisory body in university policy development, shared governance, and to promote the general welfare of faculty.

Retention, Tenure, and Promotion

The process to earn tenure or rank advancement at UVU is an opportunity for each tenure-track or tenured faculty member to develop in these three areas throughout their careers and for the university to make a strong investment in faculty success and teaching excellence.
