Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research
|
The Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research (UCUR) is an exciting opportunity for undergraduates to present the results of their scholarly work in a new state-wide symposium. The first annual symposium was held Friday, February 2, 2007. UCUR features the scholarly work of students from 12 colleges and universities in Utah with poster sessions, displays, oral presentations, and performances. UCUR is based on the successful National Conference on Undergraduate Research (www.ncur.org) model, but offers an opportunity to Utah students to share their work within the state. The students selected for this symposium will represent a wide range of academic disciplines including the sciences, social sciences, performing arts, business, the humanities, and technology. Eligible projects will be chosen from all areas of academic endeavor including research, creative projects, and service learning. In fact, there will be a special strand devoted to community-based research. Participants must have completed the work while undergraduates.
