The Office of Undergraduate Research and International Programs and the subsidiary Office of Academic Service Learning provide support for faculty members seeking to incorporate the service-learning pedagogy in their courses.

The service-learning pedagogy is a teaching method which combines community service with academic motivation as it focuses on critical, reflecting thinking, focused academic discipline, reflective writing and thinking, and civic engagement.
