Peggy is a Manager of Career & Corporate Development for the School of Business. She works with students majoring in Business Management whose last names begin with L through Z. She also works with all Hospitality, Criminal Justice and Paralegal interns.
In addition to her internship responsibilities, Peggy teaches MGMT3890 Career Preparation. This is a two-credit course that prepares students to apply for their internship experience as well as full time employment in their professional career track.
Involved in community affairs, Peggy currently serves on the Board for The Center for Women and Children in Crisis. She is also a certified instructor for Hartman Communications and Growth Climate Company.

- Developed training consisting of three components for a total of nine hours of instruction
- Components included identifying and understanding domestic violence dynamics, as well as the tools and principles to overcome and heal from the cycle
- A total of 250 people completed the training July 1997, October 1997, and February 1998

- Six mini-classes taught by professionals represented topics such as the cycle of domestic violence, law enforcement, protective orders, victim therapy, child victim resources, etc.

- Developed an open-invitation, on-going educational support program comprised of 12 basic lessons is designed to provide victims with the necessary tools and principles to liberate themselves from a violent lifestyle

- Created a CD Rom set up as a website packed with a variety of resource information including a directory of front-line service providers, basic domestic violence information, state statutes, and fact sheets from additional victim support agencies
- Developed a marketing program designed to engender a partnership among front-line domestic violence service providers, the religious/faith, medical, and legal/judicial communities
- Provided educational presentations in a variety of settings to promote awareness and understanding concerning domestic violence and its impact on society
Children @ Risk Project January 1999 - September 2003
- Promoted and engendered support among community partners engaged in identifying and creating solutions for gaps in services for victims/children trying to eliminate violence from their lives
- Identified and applied for grants aimed at expanding existing services and creating innovative programs to help families succeed in living violence-free
- Researched existing successful intervention and rehabilitation programs and protocols for possible local adaptation and implementation
Grants:
North Utah County Victim Advocate ProgramBViolence Against Women Act Grant
- Developed inter-local agreement involving four police agencies and seven communities
- Applied for (VAWA) monies to fund a full-time victim advocate to address domestic violence victim issues in North Utah County
- Awarded $30,000 in January 1998 B hire date for advocate was April 1, 1999
- Reapplied for VAWA funds in November 1998 and 1999 to continue advocate program
- Enlarged program to two full-time advocates to meet increased community demands
Utah Valley State College/Community Consortium-Rural Domestic Violence and Child Victimization Enforcement Grant, U.S. Department of Justice
- Collaborated with 20 community agencies/organizations to develop a residential, educational, and childcare/family holistic wellness program for victims and children escaping domestic violence and abuse
- Wrote a grant for $685,554 in May 1999
- Received notification that grant was not funded
- Worked with the community agencies/organizations to find grant other opportunities to fund project
