Getting Involved in Leadership
All CAL students are encouraged to check in with their Department Chairs and Deans to discuss potential leadership and engagement projects. These may be the focus of your step 7 and provide clear connection to your major area of study.| Current Opportunities |

Every Meaningful Life Arenas, whether you are speaking of business, law, politics, medicine, engineering, the sciences, etc… provides the context for developing your leadership potential. Students participating in the Leadership Certification Program (LCP) can acquire their leadership experience in a variety of ways. These may include but are not limited to:
- Formal on-campus roles (Student Government, Clubs, School Representative, etc...)
- Getting involved with Service Learning and taking advantage of their many projects where you can craft a leadership role.
- Working directly with your Dean or Department Chair to involve yourself with one or more projects.
- Apply for a Center for Engaged Learning (CEL) grant in partnership with one or more professors.
- Internship project experience.
- Serving as a UV Mentor
- Serving as a UV Ambassador
- Serving in the Why Try Program
- Serving in the Know Greater Heroes program
- Special projects offered by the CAL
- Developing your own project that you lead and manage

This is a special invitation to all of our CAL/PLP students. Will you send this via email to everyone with a short note from me stating:
CAL Students:
A special project has been offered by Roger Anthony to assist in a leadership research project.
A small stipend is offered but your experience will be significant.
Please review the attached invitation and make contact with Roger immediately if you are interested.
There is a limit as to the number of students he can take so best to jump on this opportunity.
