Donor Relations
Nancy SmithDirector of Stewardship and Development Nancy oversees a comprehensive stewardship program that maximizes relationships between the university and its donors. She also directs the UVU private scholarship program, which has grown from 55 scholarship funds in 1998-1999 to more than 190 separate funds assisting thousands of students with financial help. Nancy was the 2004 recipient of the Vice Presidential Staff Excellence Award and 2008 recipient of the UVU Board of Trustees Award of Excellence. Nancy is married to Court Smith. They have four children and 17 grand children. |
Lauren BluthDevelopment Hailing from Mesa, Ariz., Lauren graduated from BYU with a degree in public relations. While attending BYU, Lauren volunteered with many student organizations focused on student giving and involvement, including a stint as vice president of the Student Alumni Association. She interned for a public relations firm in Washington, D.C., where she expanded her interest in journalism, politics and social issues. At UVU, Lauren provides support for the development team and donors through event planning, relationship building, gift stewardship, recognition and communication. Outside of work, her interests include serving as an advisory board member for the Sego Art Foundation, owning and operating a boutique and spa in Arizona, practicing yoga, running, rock climbing, skiing and anything else that includes fun, friends and family. |
