Needs-Based Scholarships
Deadlines - February 1 for Incoming Freshman and Transfer Students
March 1 for Continuing Students

Freshman and Transfer Students:

  1. You must be admitted to UVU.
  2. Have a UV ID#.
  3. Complete the online comprehensive scholarship application
  4. Provide the Admissions & Registration Office with a copy of your high school grade transcript or college grade transcript(s).
  5. Complete FAFSA or Financial Aid Calculator. If Financial Aid Calculator is completed, you must print the results and submit to the Scholarship Office with your name and UV ID #.

Continuing Students:

  1. You must complete the online comprehensive scholarship application by the March 1 deadline.
  2. Complete FAFSA or Financial Aid Calculator. If Financial Aid Calculator is completed, you must print the results and submit to the Scholarship Office with your name and UV ID #.

Need-Based Categories:

Center For Personal And Career Development – This award is half tuition for one or two semesters and is not renewable. The requirements are:

  • Priority is given to displaced homemakers, non-traditional students, and single parents, children from single parent homes and parent or child in a low income home.
  • Incoming freshman and transfer students.
  • Residency is required.
  • GPA required 2.5.
  • FAFSA or Financial Aid Calculator required.

Cultural Diversity – This scholarship is half tuition for one or two semesters and may be reapplied for. The requirements are:

  • Students are required to attend a three-day orientation workshop prior to the beginning of Fall Semester where additional requirements for the scholarship will be explained.
  • Incoming freshman, transfer and continuing students.
  • Residency is required.
  • GPA required 2.5.
  • FAFSA or Financial Aid Calculator required.

Trio –This scholarship is half tuition for one or two semesters and is not renewable. The requirements are:

  • First generation students.
  • Low income students.
  • Incoming freshman and transfer students.
  • Residency required.
  • 2.5 GPA required.
  • FAFSA or Financial Aid Calculator required.

Upward Bound/Talent Search – This award is half tuition for one or two semesters and is not renewable. The requirements are:

  • Associated with Upward Bound/Talent Search Program.
  • Incoming freshman.
  • Residency required.
  • 2.5 GPA required.
  • FAFSA or Financial Aid Calculator required.
