New Student Academic Merit Categories:

Presidential - (see grid for Presidential awarding criteria)

  • Full tuition, fees and stipend will be awarded depending on availability of funds.
  • If retention criteria are met this scholarship is renewable for a maximum of eight semesters or completion of a Bachelors Degree, whichever comes first.
  • Retention criteria: 3.7 cumulative GPA /12 earned credit hours per semester.
  • Incoming freshmen.
  • Residents and Non-Residents may apply.

Exemplary - (see grid for Exemplary awarding criteria)

  • Full tuition will be awarded depending on availability of funds.
  • If retention criteria are met this scholarship is renewable for a maximum of eight semesters or completion of a Bachelors Degree, whichever comes first.
  • Retention criteria: 3.5 cumulative GPA/12 earned credit hours per semester.
  • Incoming freshman.
  • Residents and Non-Residents may apply; however, non-residents will only be awarded the equivalent of resident tuition for the first year.

Outstanding - (see grid for Outstanding awarding criteria)

  • Full tuition will be awarded depending on availability of funds.
  • Retention criteria: 3.2 cumulative GPA/12 earned credit hours per semester.
  • Possible renewal consideration if 3.5 cumulative GPA or above at end of second semester.
  • Incoming freshman and transfer students.
  • Residents and Non-Residents may apply; however, non-residents will only be awarded the equivalent of resident tuition.

Distinguished - (see grid for Distinguished awarding criteria)

  • Half tuition will be awarded depending on availability of funds.
  • This scholarship is not renewable.
  • Incoming freshman and transfer students.
  • Residents may apply.

For Transfer Students

  • Must have completed a minimum of 30 transfer credit hours (concurrent enrollment and AP classes not included) before the February 1 deadline.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
  • Submit college grade transcript(s) to the Scholarship Office (transcripts do not need to be official).
  • Awards will range from half to full tuition depending on GPA and credit hours completed
NOTE:  If you have a Bachelor´s Degree, you are not eligible to apply.
