The Reed & Christine Halladay Executive Lecture Series will feature Becky Berkey Potts, president of Morris Murdock Travel, Thursday, Nov. 5, in Utah Valley University’s Ragan Theater. The presentation will begin at noon.
Morris Murdock Travel is one of the largest travel groups in the Intermountain West and boasts $100 million in sales. Prior to Morris Murdock Travel, Potts was vice president and general manager of telecom giant AT&T Wireless, presiding over more than $1 billion in annual sales and more than a million customers. She was also a key liaison for AT&T for the company’s sponsorship in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Potts has received a number of awards from Utah business publications for her executive savvy and serves on a number of nonprofit boards including the President’s Advisory Council for the United Way of Salt Lake and the Women’s Philanthropic Network.
“We are very fortunate to have her come to UVU; her qualifications are just amazing,” said Woodbury School of Business Assistant Dean Randy Beckham. “We hope students and members of the community will come out for her presentation.”
The Woodbury School of Business hosts the weekly Executive Lecture Series. It brings fascinating successful business and community leaders to UVU to share their business experiences and make recommendations to students as they prepare for their careers. The event is free and is open to all students, to the faculty and to the public.
