Welcome to the Building Construction Department at Utah Valley UniversityGraduates from the Building Construction program (one-year certificate) are prepared to read architectural drawings;lay-out framing; frame walls, roofs, and stairs; shingle roofs; apply siding; install doors, windows, and interior trim. Graduates of the two-year Building Construction and Construction Management program are prepared for employment as construction foremen, job superintendants, project managers, or one year applies to contractor's license experience.

UVU's 68th Commencement Marks First Graduating Class Under University Status A packed house was on hand at the McKay Center today to honor Utah Valley University’s newest graduates during the 68th Commencement, UVU’s first as a university. The capacity crowd was reflective of a large graduating class, projected to be the institution’s largest ever at 3,743 students, and interest in hearing Thomas S. Monson, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, address UVU’s first graduates under the university banner.
