E. Linda Moore
Assistant to Dean Finance & Operations 801-863-6827 GT 603 MS: 285 mooreel@uvu.edu |
Linda has enjoyed working at UVU since 2002 but began her business career many years ago as an Income Tax Officer for Her Majesty’s Inspector of Taxes in her home city of Liverpool, England. After more than a decade working as a Civil Servant for the British Government she came to Utah in 1981. She tried banking, beginning in Human Resources followed by the Trust Department, at the same time surviving multiple corporate take-over’s, at Tracy Collins/Moore Financial/Continental Bank. Linda then moved on to experience live theatre at Hale Center Theater as the Box Office Manager and then Deseret Star Playhouse as the General Manger and Associate Producer. Once arriving in this academic setting and realizing her British qualifications and credentials did not transfer across the Atlantic, Linda began to take classes during the evenings and weekends. She graduated with an Associate Degree in 2007, and will complete her Bachelor Degree in Spring 2010, and is already researching graduate possibilities. |

Kimber Marquiss
Administrative Assistant I 801-863-6739 GT 605 MS: 285 marquiki@uvu.edu |
Kim "Kimber" Marquiss came to Utah to attend Brigham Young University. Early in her education she met her husband, Jay, and soon after received her "MRS." degree. Kim's first job was being a car-hop at an A&W restaurant. YES, she wore roller skates! Much later Kim worked as a Registered Residential Appraiser for Marquiss Appraisal Services, of which she was also office manager and is still part-owner. In 2002, Kimber started working at UVU in the Facilities Department as an Administrative Support. There is a story behind the nickname, just ask and she'll share! She loved her work but had to take a break and stay home to help with an ill relative. Kimber couldn't stay away from UVU too long and is currently working part-time as an Administrative Support in the Dean's Office for the School of the Arts. Kim has three children and 4+ grandchildren. She enjoys scuba diving, gardening, quilting, crafts, and spending time with her family, especially when it involves the grandchildren.
