Process, Policy & Budget

The office of the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs - Academic Administration has five primary functions:

  1. Assist the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) with the formulation of overall Academic Affairs objectives, policies, workplans, and administrative calendar.
  2. Assist the VPAA as s/he determines the Academic Affairs priorities, and help develop strategic plans to achieve these priorities.
  3. Coordinate administrative, educational, and other activities that include budget, strategic planning, and project and data management within the VPAA office.
  4. Assess the effectiveness and outcomes of the annual Planning, Budgeting and Accountability (PBA) process.
  5. Work closely with the university Planning and Budget Office to ensure that Academic Affairs resources are aligned with institutional strategic goals and directives.
